Meet Jarno Vrolijk: new consultant @ Talent Peaks

 We are happy to introduce Jarno Vrolijk to you. He recently finished his study and internship at Connexys and joined our Analytics team a little over a month ago. We’re glad to have him: he rocks at Data Science and even ran his own online data competitions alongside his study. Curious to learn more? Jarno introduces himself by answering our nosey questions below:

Jarno, could you describe yourself to us in one word?
‘Persistent.’

And what will be your main focus at Talent Peaks?
‘To guide customers in analyzing data-centered business issues and creating and evaluating data science solutions. Besides that, I will focus on helping businesses to find a fit between the potential of machine- and deep learning tools, and their daily business. This will involve setting up proper data warehousing, analytics and easy to use dashboarding as a foundation to create a deeper understanding of the numbers underlying daily business.’

What will you bring Talent Peaks?
‘Availability of data alone does not ensure successful data-driven decision-making. The data-analytical ideas of both me and Talent Peaks basically brought us together. Uniting those ideas will help us to create useful business solutions and tackle complex problems regarding data.’

Tell us one thing we really need to know about you?
‘To be honest, you will find me behind a computer screen most of the time. Handling data is very time consuming, right? But on the rare occasions I’m not behind that screen, I’m really passionate about classic Porsches, vintage watches, and whisky. So whoever wants to chit chat about any of the above, feel free to reach out!’

And your motto is?
‘Nulla tenaci invia est via ~ For the tenacious one, no road is impassable. I once saw this engraved on a car, and basically it stuck with me ever since.’
